I’ll put my cards on the table: As a disabled, low-income, LGBTQ+ Albertan, I’m begging you to vote New Democratic Party. If not NDP, the left-most candidate who has a viable shot to unseat the United Conservative Party in your riding.

Premier Danielle Smith is, of course, Wingnut Georg, who comes up with 10,000 completely demented policy ideas a day. But she’s not entirely an outlier. The Conservatives were fucking over vulnerable Albertans for decades before she came along.

This election is important, because our famously conservative province has a very real chance of electing a party with democratic socialist policies. We did it before, and the pollsters are saying we have a very real chance of doing it again.

Election Day is: Monday May 29
